Happy National Doughnut Day! Last week, Ben and I found ourselves in Lower East Side of Manhattan with a little time to spend just wandering around. And we wandered.. right into Doughnut Plant, a bakery we haven’t visited in what seems like forever! We got coffee and some fresh yeast doughnuts to share: strawberries and cream, blackberry jam, and Manhattan cream.
That episode revived my doughnut cravings, and luckily, this week I get a great excuse to grease the pan and whisk the glaze – June 2nd is the National Doughnut Day! While I’m experimenting with new flavors, I thought I’d share some of my past favorite baked doughnut recipes from this blog:
